John catches up with Dewi
Dewi James was diagnosed with diplegia spasticity cerebral palsy which affects his ability to walk. Lots of people, including British Airways, American Airlines and John's fans, helped to raise funds so that Dewi could go to America to have an operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR).
In May 2016, whilst John was at a signing event in Cardiff, he caught up with 4 year old Dewi to hear how he's getting on. Dewi has a great deal of physiotherapy to come but he's made lots of progress. He was keen to tell John all about his trip to America!
