Update on John's Concert Tour
Message from John:
"It is with huge regret that we have decided to cancel the UK tour. Unfortunately, ticket sales in certain parts of the UK have been slow, and with the increased costs of touring it is no longer economically viable to continue. This is a decision that has not been taken lightly, and I know many of my fans will be very upset, as am I. Personally I am devastated and like many people I have found the last years extremely difficult, possibly the hardest few years of my life. When it gets tough it is sometimes better to stop and re-evaluate and that is exactly what I am going to do.

JB music: New album coming soon!
John has recorded a brand new album with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring musical theatre songs he loves to perform. He has signed to new record label Westway Music.
Neil O'Brien, founder of Westway Music, said: "I have worked with John since 2007, primarily with live concerts and touring and when I formed Westway in 2020, I always felt that it could be a good home for his many talents. To be able to produce an album of musical theatre songs with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London will make this one of our key releases for this year and something I am very excited about."

Scammer alert!
Please be aware that scammers are out in force at the moment. Multiple fake accounts have been showing up on social media, particularly Facebook and Instagram, to try to con fans and defraud them.
The latest scheme starts with a brazen fraudster pretending to be John and sending Instagram PMs warning about scammers, and sounds plausible. The scammer asks the fan to chat on Hangouts or WhatsApp, and then asks for money.

All Star Musicals to return!
John is thrilled to be back to host a one-off special of All Star Musicals. The show gives celebrities the opportunity to perform, after vocal and dance training, for the panel of judges and a virtual audience. Their scores determine who will be crowned the champion performer.
John said: "Now more than ever we're all in need of some fabulous musical entertainment and I can’t wait to be reunited with Elaine Paige on stage for All Star Musicals. We've got the most amazing show lined up with something for everyone and lots and lots of surprises!"

Original post: John will be headlining the Stages 2020 Musical Theatre Festival at Sea, sailing out of Southampton UK on 27 September 2020 on the Royal Caribbean Line's "Anthem of the Seas". The wonderful cast of musical theatre stars on the five-day trip also includes Lea Salonga, Ramin Karimloo, Bonnie Langford and John Owen-Jones.

The Sydney event is booked for 7-9 August, with the Perth convention the following weekend, 15-16 August. These events will, of course, be dependent on the prevailing pandemic situation and the organisers will decide nearer the time whether they can go ahead.

Wales Comic Con: Telford Takeover
The organisers of the Wales Comic Con: Telford Takeover, scheduled to take place on 22-23 August, have now announced that they have decided to postpone the event to 2021. Rescheduled dates will be announced in due course. All ticketholders will be contacted and their tickets for the 2020 event will be refunded or transferred to the new dates.

JB appointed President of TRIC
During the livestreamed TRIC (the Television and Radio Industries Club) Summer Drinks event on Thursday, 2 July, outgoing President Lorraine Kelly announced that John was taking over the role. John has nominated the charity "akt", which provides support for LGBTQ+ young people aged 16-25 in the UK who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment.

Doctor Who Rewatch
John will be joining David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Freema Agyeman, Russell T Davies and Graeme Harper for a global rewatch of the Doctor Who two-parter, The Stolen Earth/Journey's End on Sunday, 19 April. Everyone will hit "play" on the first episode at 7.00pm in the UK (11.00am PT/2.00pm ET) with the second episode starting at 8.00pm BST/12 noon PT/3.00pm ET.

JB Concert - Greenwich Music Time
John will be headlining one of six open-air concerts taking place as part of the Greenwich Music Time Festival in the stunning setting of The Old Royal Naval College, London. With a backdrop of the London city skyline and the Thames, this is set to be a very special event. John will star alongside Lea Salonga on Tuesday, 7 July 2020.

JB returning to Dancing on Ice
John competed in the first series of Dancing on Ice and will be back on the show for its 2020 season. But this time around he'll be leaving his skates in the locker as he'll be on the judging panel!
John will join Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo as part of the "ice panel", commenting on and scoring the celebrity skaters as they learn their new skill.
